When I was teaching I had group insurance but I transferred when I retired. Their insurance premiums went up considerably this year so I investigated other providers. Neil had already contacted me, knowing when my policy renewed and, as I said he could ring for a second time, he rang again a couple of days ago. He asked several questions about my current policy so understood what it had covered, and then clearly explained the type of policy he could offer me. He urged me to ask questions (which I did) and his answers were very easy to understand, putting my mind straight about what was on offer. I explained I was also in contact with an advisor from another company and he didn't seem phased by this. He encouraged me to read the paperwork and come back to him if I'd further queries after I'd also read the documents from the other company or talked to the other advisor about what he (Neil) was offering . This I did, which entailed Neil adding dentist and optician care to the policy, at a very reasonable rate. I explained I would make a decision within the next couple of days, after I'd discussed this updated policy with the other advisor, and he fully understood this. He said I should contact him if I'd any more questions after reading both policies, as he wanted to make sure I was happy. He rang me this morning and I told him that I was accepting his policy, giving reasons why I had gone for this one and not the other provider's. He reminded me about the cashback offer and told me he'd send the form by email, or snail mail if I preferred. I liked being given the choice! He also explained the subsequent steps, told me I could (and should) contact him whenever I needed help and advised me on what to do next.
I thoroughly enjoyed the discussions Neil and I had and hope he will continue to be my advisor. At no time was he pushy or interrupted me (unlike the advisor from the other company). He answered all my questions with no "politician" replies and ensured I understood everything he was explaining. He was relaxed and had lots of time for me. All phone calls were relaxing and at no time did I feel pressurised into anything.
Neil is a credit to your company, a great ambassador and I hope this letter helps with his next performance management.

We have employed Dan's assistance with our medical insurance needs for the past four years at IPMI. He is very approachable, listens to our needs and uses his considerable knowledge of the Private Health Insurance market to find options matching our requirements.
He then discusses the options and highlights any potential issues associated with them. His ability to clarify the often intricate and convoluted passages in insurance literature is a major factor in enabling a final choice to be made. 2018 was a year in which we required three major surgical interventions. In his usual proactive fashion he told us to expect a rise in our premium for 2019. The increase, when it came, was some 27% !
By the time we had recovered from the shock Dan had surveyed the market place. He called us back to say he had found an insurer who would provide slightly better cover in 2019 at a somewhat cheaper premium than our current provider had charged us in 2018. The fly in the ointment was a moratorium on past issues. We did not feel that our past issues would lead to any problems during the period of the moratorium and, therefore, this should not be a concern.
We changed Insurers and thanks to Dan saved the best part of £1000! He of course did all the necessary rearrangements. Long may our partnership continue!

I first discovered IPMI when I had just retired and left the company health insurance scheme. I had been advised by another broker that my annual premium would be in excess of £800 per month and that I was unable to move to another insurer because of my previous medical history. Following a conversation with Dan he suggested I should contact my consultant to confirm if my annual check-ups were precautionary only. Following written confirmation from my consultant Dan was able to move me to another insurer and drastically (and I mean drastically!) reduce my monthly payments.
